Transit Approved Hardware
Children who require in-chair transportation frequently require custom seating. The JAY Conventional seating system is fully transit approved for the seating portion of the transit equation. This includes transit approval for seats and backs by themselves and with or without attaching hinges - a rarity in the industry. |

Headrest and flip-down abductors are extremely common custom seating requests. JAY Conventional seating ships standard with T-nuts already installed to accept these support systems. Best of all, there is no additional up-charge. |

JAY Conventional contoured backs feature custom foam contour inserts. Many custom contoured backs feature contoured shells but do not feature customizable foam. Unfortunately, hard contoured shells are very difficult to precisely fit to individual user shapes. Contoured foam, on the other hand, can be custom layered and positioned to accommodate an extensive variety of user shapes. |

JAY Conventional seats can be notched for backposts without charge. Notching for backposts provides built-in depth growth, an important consideration for any pediatric user. |

Accessing and shaping back and seat foam is a frequent field requirement. JAY Conventional cushions and backs feature optional zippered covers that provide complete access to the foam layers in front of the back shells and on top of the seat cushions. The "removable" zippered covers provide an added benefit of easy removal for cleaning. |
