Warranty Information

The JAY SPO & ART SPO series of backrests are designed for the unique needs of clients in power tilt chairs. They utilize a unique system of multiple firmness foam inserts that allow clinicians to custom load and shape the backrest surface. These backrests combine comfort with exceptional positioning and clinical postural management in a package that can be customized in the field.

Custom Shapes
Available in 3 different custom shapes, custom rectangular, I-shape & scapular cut-out. The custom rectangular back can be customized in width, height, and foam thickness to suit the individual user. The I-shape is ideal for positioning clients with a narrow shoulder width relative to the hips. It allows the lateral thoracic pads to hug the trunk in this situation.

Customizable Positioning Components
Both SPO backs incorporate foam inserts available with differing firmnesses in four Positioning Zones:
Scapular - for management of pressures Spinal - also for management of pressures Mid-Thoracic - for distribution of load to the rib structures Pelvic - for achieving the optimal Pelvic positioning angle
The positioning performance for each of these Zones can be manipulated through foam density selections.

Comfort
The SPO backrests have a 1.5" comfort-foam layer to create a plush feel that's noticeable in the tilted position. Additionally a lumbar pad is included.

Swing-Away Laterals for ASAP Seat Frame
Two vertical dovetail tracks are located on the backside of both the JAY and ART SPO backrests to easily mount and position swing-away lateral thoracic supports. The laterals offer width adjustment for durable support in a variety of positions and a "Push-to-Release" mechanism.

The SPO Backrests are available on select Quickie Power products including the Pulse 6 SC. They can be ordered through the chair (EIPW21) configurator.

In addition to the 1.5" of comfort foam, the SPO backrests also feature a 3DXTM Microclimatic Spacer Fabric cover that allows heat and moisture dissipation; it is also washable.

Heavy Duty back available with 4-point hardware can allow for up to 500 lbs. With all 22" backs, and on request for smaller widths, a vanity flap is included to accommodate redundant tissue.
